Hi! My name is Shana Brooks-Schmit and I'm one of the administrators of this Blog. 

I'm a Library/Media Assistant I with the Temecula Valley Unified School District and I work in a Middle School Library right now. I made two contributions to the Blog setup on the side bar. I added two gadgets, one is a "Followers" gadget where you can find the names of those following the blog, and the second one is for a drop down menu for visitors to choose their language preference when reading our blog.

 Hi, it's Kathy Meengs here. This is my inaugural post and I'm so happy to be starting this project with my classmates. 

The change I made to the blog was to add to my profile. I experimented with several other features--adding a widget or two to the crossbar--but I didn't like the results, so I undid them. But it was fun to play around with the look and navigation, and nice to know that it was so easy to undo something that I didn't like. 

I love the bookish theme that you chose, Kassandra. Perfect!

Part of the reason that I chose the topic of Presentation Tools is because I love teaching and making presentations. I have some experience. Early in my career, I taught accounting classes to MBA students for a few years. And throughout my working life, I've taught professional classes to colleagues in a number of subjects--everything from auditing procedures, to running an author event, to census enumerating. Additionally, as part of my work in publishing, I was always making presentations about a season's worth of titles--sometimes to just a buyer or bookstore owner, and other times to rooms full of booksellers or sales reps. I really hope that these experiences will help me instruct, inform, and support others in my librarianship career. I look forward to deploying the best technology to do so, and to learning from all of you.

  My name is Danielle Minor. I work at the Rancho Peñasquitos Branch Library as a Library Assistant 1.  My interests include: swimming, traveling with the family, and reading a good book. A few contributions were: an image of two kittens hugging each other along with the post: “For the month of February, here is a hug”.  I turned on the “Use Blogger Draft” button and I added information to my profile.

Hello Friends,

My name is Kassandra Ortega and I am looking forward with you all to building this blog. 

The contribution I made to the blog was setting up the initial Library Presentation Tools Blogger, and I updated the theme to the Simple Literate template with the bookish background image, which I felt reflected the overall library/library studies theme of the blog while also selecting a theme that was simple and easy to navigate. I also changed around some of the colors/tones of the page in order to make it clear and easy to read, without colors that may be too distracting that would take away from the overall blog.
